The engagement is announced of Mies Elsie Huhne, second daughter of Mr C. J*. Hulme, Bay of Plenty, Tauranga, to Mr Ernest Cutlierbertaon, St. George’s Bay Road, Parnell, Auckland.
The engagement is announced of Mr Hector Bethune, manager of the Wellington branch of the Bank of Australia, to Miss Collinson Smith (Wairarapa). April has been settled for the date of the wedding, after which a lengthy trip round the world will follow, including visits to Japan and America.
A Wairarapa engagement is that of Miss Eileen Riddiford, daughter of Mr L. Riddiford, to Mr William Bunny, son of the late Mr Henry Bunny, of Masterton.
The is announced of Mr Lewis Lazarus, of Fiji, to Miss Winnie Morse, of Wellington.
Among the recent engagements announced is that of Miss Edith Brookfield, daughter of Mr F. Brookfield, solicitor, of St. Hqlier’s Bay, Auckland, to Mr Tom Coates, of Orakei.
