Weisbaden.

The most frequented winter resort in Germany is Wiesbaden, where the season may be said to last all the year round. It enjoys elimatic advantages similar to those possessed by Honnef, while the temperature of the soil is said to be appreciably raised by the hot springs which are the raison d’etre of the city’s prosperity. Wiesbaden, as most of our readers doubtless know, is a delightful town amid charming scenery, and with its handsome Kurhaus and theatre, is not likely to be pronounced dull by any visitor. Most of the balls and concerts which figure in the programme of summer entertainments are kept up through the winter, and the social life of the place is bright and pleasant. Wiesbaden, never a particularly expensive resort, is cheaper in the winter than at any other time, and in one or other of the innumerable pensions it would be possible to live rather more cheaply than one does at home.
