The Auckland Racing Club has generously decided to distribute among local charities the balance of £lOO in hand, unclaimed money in respect to the return of money on tickets taken on the totalisator for the Paknranga Steeplechase, run at the last June meeting at KUerslie. and subsequently declared “off,"’ The donations to the various societies are as follows:■—Door of Hope, £2O; Children’s Home, Parnell, £2O; Auckland Benevolent Society, £2O; Jubilee Institute for the Blind, £l5; Veterans’ Home, £l5; Orphan Home, Parnell, £10; St. Joseph’s Orphanage, Takapuna, £10; Costley Training institute, £10: Little Sisters of the Poor. £10; Salvation Army Prison Gate Brigade, £10; Salvation Army Maternity Horae, £10; Remuera Children's Home, £5; Society for Protection of Women and Children, £5.
