WILLIAMS—CLARKE. A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated on Tuesday, May 31, at the .Unitarian Church, by the Rev. Jellie, when Mr Robert Williams, of the Customs Department, Ch'ristdhurch, .was united in matrimony to Miss Edith R. Clarke, daughter of Mr S. T. Clarke, of this city. The bride was attended by Miss Flo Clarke, the bridegroom by Mr G. Fordham, the “Wedding March” being beautifully performed by Madame Wigmore. After the ceremony the wedding party proceeded to the house of the bride’s parents, where a luncheon party was held, the bride and bridegroom leaving the same day to take up their residence in the South. BRADY—HODSOX. The marriage of Mr Paul Joseph Brady, fifth son of the late Mr James Brady, of Seaview, Otahuhu, and Miss Kate Clara Ellen Adela Munro Hodson, eldest daughter of Mr Thomas Hodson, late of Epsom, took place 5,1 St. Joseph’s Church, Otahuhu, on June 1 in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. The Rev. Father John O’Hara officiated. The bride was given away by Mr J. B. Lithcrland, and looked pretty and winsome in a cream moire silk with long tulle veil and wreath of OrliSge blossoms. She was attended by her aunt, Miss Hilda Dam, as bridesmaid, who was attired in cream silk, trimmed with insertion and a large black picture hat. The bride and bridesmaid both wore gold brooches, and carried large shower bouquets, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr John Brady was best man. After the ceremony, afternoon tea was served at the residence of the bride’s grandmother, Mrs Dam. and in the evening a social was held in the Otahuhu Public Hall, at which a large number of friends and relatives were entertained. Congratulations poured in from ail parts of the colony, and presents too numerous to mention were received. FAULKNER—HODSOX. A pretty wedding took plaee at St. Benedict’s Church, Auckland, on the 19th of May, when Miss Roberta Hilda Hodson, youngest daughter of Mr Thomas Hodson, late of Epsom, was married to Mr Mm. Faulkner, only son of the late Mr Jas. Faulkner, South Frankton, Huon, Tasmania. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Furlong. The bride was prettily dressed in cream moire silk and long tulle veil, a’nd wore a wreath of orange blossoms. She was given away by Mr J. B. Litherland. The bridesmaid was Miss Clara Hodson (sister of the bride) who wore a dress of white and heliotrope delaine and chiffon hat, the bridegroom’s gift being a gold bracelet set with amethyst. The best man was Mr Pollock. After the ceremony a breakfast was served at the residence of the bride's mother, “Blackheath,” where a number of friends were welcomed by Mrs Hodson. third daughter of Mr Win. McDonald, Ponsonby, late of Waipu, and the bridegroom Mr Donald John Fraser, Whangarei. third sou of Mr Hugh Fraser, late of Waipu. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. M. Fraser, mule of the bride. The bride was given away by her father, and she was attended by her sister. Miss Flora McDonald, as bridesmaid. Mr Fred, Ryan, of Whaugarei, acted as best man. Miss Crawford presided at the organ, and, as the bridal party left the vestry, played the “ Wedding March.” The honeymoon is being spent in the South. The wedding presents were very numerous.
