HA ND [CAI’S AT AUCKLAND. In spite of heavy weather, some play was seen on the Auckland links on Saturday afternoon, when the linal for the captain's prize (senior class) came off, J. IL Hooper (scratch) beating 11. T. Gillies (scratch) by two up and one to play. In the juniors, MacCormick beat Hall (three up and one) and Ball beat Rendell. The semi-final and final in this class still remain to be played. The mixed foursomes, which were set down for Friday last, were postponed until Saturday, the 18th inn., on account of the bad weather, but a scratch match amongst those who were prepar id to brave tho elements was held, when the following net scores were returned:—Miss Lewis and C.
