The engagement is announced of Miss E. Francis, daughter of the late Colonel ■Francis, and Mr. Cecil Hawkins, son of Mr. Harvey Hawkins, of Christchurch. The engagement is announced of Miss Laura Gossett, daughter of the Rev. C. H. Gossett, Merivale, Christchurch, and Mr. E. Harper, of Christchurch, son of Mr. George Harper.
