THE TRIAL MATCH. Those followers of Hie Association name who expected to see a good game on Saturday must have been sadly disappointed, for the play shown was not as good as any of the cup matches. The selectors chose the following teams’—> Goal. Dngmorc (Y.M.C.A.); backs. Cowan (Y.M.) and Ritchie (Thistle); halves, Grade (Thistle), Yates (Y.M.h and Me’.drum (Thistle): forwards.Mnyall (Y.M.). Gi lespie (Thistle). Asbury (Y.M.r. Tate (Y.M.i. and Clark (Y.M.). Reserve, Ritchie (Y.M ) SIX A SIDE TOURNAMENT. The results of the schools’ six a side tournament are: — Arawa B drew with Grafton 15, and beat them in the play-ofi’ by 3 to nil. Arawa A beat North Shore A by 12 to nil. Tabernacle B beat Beresford A by 3 to nil. Tabernacle A beat Grafton A by 3 to nil. Tabernacle A beat Tabernacle B by 6 to nil. Arawa A beat Arawa B by 15 points to nil. Arawa A beat Tabernacle A by 9 points to nil. Arawa A thus won the tournament by winning all three of their mat? Lies. Mr W. Cowan refereed.
