NEW PLYMOUTH.

Dear Bee, May 23. A BAZAAR was held last Thursday afternoon and evening in St. Mary's Hall, in aid of th» local Maori Mission Fund, and although the weather was bad it was a financial success. Great credit is due f , iss Armstrong for the way in which everything was carried out, especially the tableaux, which she carefully arranged during the evening. Miss Armstrong was assisted by Miss Berry and Miss Elsie Ward, who also worked very hard to make the bazaar a success. Miss Standish played the accompaniments for the musical items during the evening. Among those present were Mrs Evans, Mrs Cole. Miss Hamerton. Miss Mace, Mrs Dempsey, Misses Dempsey (2), Mrs Courtney, Miss Shaw, Mrs Adden Brooke, Miss M. Adden Brooke. Mrs Kerr. Alias Wilson (Naseby), Misses George (2), Mrs Mae Diarmid. East Wednesday evening St. Alary's Choir held A CONCERT in aid of the now organ fund, and a splendid programme was brour'-t before a very appreciative andieneo.
