AN INTERESTING RELIC.
For the past two or three years very few relics have been recovered from the wreck of the ••Boyd.” in Whang - ;. v oa Haibour. A short time ago, however, Mr Gotnard, of Whangaroa. anchored/ over the wreck, ami succeeded in recovering one of the rudder gudgeons of the vessel, it is made of brass, and is in perfect preservation. 'I he weight of this interesting relic of early N.Z. history, is 1501 b. When found several drift bolls of copper were found, a portion of the oakum packing round the same being still infnrt. after no immersion of 03 years.
