ORANGE BLOSSOMS

RAE-AIAt DONALD. A very pretty wedding was solemnised <>n February 2.5 at st. George's. Taka puna. when .Miss Annie Macdonald was united in holy matrimony to Mr C. E. Rae, of Auckland. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. Gray Dixon. M.A., and the service was a choral one, the music including the "Bridal .March” from ‘'Lohengrin,” and Mendelssohn’s “Wedding Mare!:.” The bride was at--1 ired in creme silk, with handsome lace collar, and the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a lovely shower bouquet. She was attended bv Miss Macdonald (her sister) and Miss Walters, who wore gowns of heliotrope touched with white, am! carried bouquets of white and heliotrope asters. As this was the first wedding celebrated in the church Miss Macdonald was the recipient of a family Bible, amt the choir, of which she has been a incnilier since its formation, gave as a token of goodwill a silver cake basket of dainty design. On leaving the church the bride’s ps'.tli was literally strewn with Mowers by her friends.

BKNSOX—OH URC'H ER. A pretty little wedding took place at St Philip’s Church at Tariki, Taranaki, on February 12, when Mr J. P. Benson and Miss Alice Chureher, only daughter of Mr C. Chureher, were married. The ceremony was performed by the Rev C. Robinson. The bride looked very pretty, attired in a pretty figured cream silk lustre trimmed with eream silk. The skirt was flounced and strapped with cream silk, and over the bodice hung a pretty cream silk fichu. She wore the customary veil and wreath of orange blossoms. Miss Dolly Rao, who was chief bridesmaid, looked very nice in figured blue muslin, trimmed with cream insertion, pretty white hat trimmed in blue chiffon and forget-me-nots. Miss Ida Gyde, the second bridesmaid, a wee tot, looked pretty in cream figured muslin made empire style, and white leghorn hat trimmed with white silk and chiffon and white feathers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr B. Noble. The. bride was given away by her father. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a pretty gold locket and chain, and to the bridesmaids gold gem brooches. After the ceremony the wedding party adjourned to the residence of the bride’s parents, where a reception was held. BLAIR—JACKSON. The marriage of Air A. W. Blair and Mis's Rose Jackson, fourth daughter of Mr S- Jackson, solicitor, Remuera, Auckland. was solemnised on the 26th February at St. John’s Chapel, Tamaki, by the Rev. IV- Smallfield. The quaint old chapel looked very well decorated by friends of the bride with wedding bells, bamboo and ferns. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a pale grey voile over silk, trimmed with handsome lace and oriental trimming, a rose hat and bouquet completed her toilette. Little Miss Hanna (niece of the bride) as bridesmaid wore a very pretty white silk frock inserted with lace, a wreath of roses and crook tied with pink ribbon and roses, and wore a gold necklet, the gift of the bridegroom. Air Blair’s brother, from Wellington, was best man. Miss M.-.ndeno played the ‘'Wedding March.” Airs Jackson (mother of the bride) wore a handsome black satin trimmed with silk applique, black bonnet and shower bouquet ; Mrs Proude. heliotrope muslin trimmed with lace and violet ribbons, black hat with ecru lace; Airs Hanna, biscuit coloured voile with handsome lace inserted, violet hat and bouquet on suite; Vliss Jackson, tussore silk, with insertion, black hat; Vliss C. Jackson. pretty white, silk, white picture hat with ostrich feathers; Airs Capt- Jackson. black ottoman silk, black net ruffle and bonnet; Vliss Jackson, black voile strapped with glace, black hat relieved with lace: Mrs Smallfield, blue muslin, cream ruffle, and picture hat: Vliss Vlandeno, black costume; Vliss Proude, white china silk, with cerise ribbons, black hat. 'Hie bride's travelling dress was a dark “rev tailor-made, with eream net vest, and a tuscan straw hat with pink roses under the upturned brim. Some of the other guests were: Airs and the Misses Cotter, Mr and Airs Morrin, Vliss Vlorrin. Mrs Black. Airs and Vliss Clark. Air IL t lark. Mrs Payton, Airs Shaw, Air and Mrs Boucher.
