ORANGE BLOSSOMS

BOSS—WHITE. The first wedding to tuke place in the new Unitarian Church, Ponsonbyroad, Auckland, was celebrated on Saturday, the 3rd inst., when Mr Kennedy Ross, third son of Captain Hoss, of Gisborne (formerly of Von Tempskey’s Forest Rangers), was united in the bonds of wedlock to Miss Eveline White, third daughter of Mr T. H. White, architect, of Auckland. The officiating minister was the Bev. Mr. Jellie, and the church was tastefully decorated for the Occasion. The bride was handsomely attired in white silk, trimmed with chiffon and lace, and wore a lovely embroidered veil of real Limerick lace. • The bridesmaids, two sisters of the bride, were dressed in white, with large picture hats. The groomsmen were Messrs. Sharp and W. Culpan. The church was crowded, and some rich and pretty costumes were worn by members of the bridal party. After the ceremony there was a reception at the residence of the bride’s parents, Mount Eden. The presents were numerous, and in most cases of great value. The bride and bridegroom have gone to Opotiki for ffie honeymoon. ADAMS—SQUIRES. A pretty wedding took place at Woodlands, Parna Bay, near Whangarei, the residence of the bride’s father, on January 7, 1903, when Ormsby Gore Adams, director of the Thames School of Mines, and son of Mr 0. W. Adams, Commissioner of Crown Lands, Blenheim, was married to Emily Mary Dorothy, younger daughter of Mr Horace L. Squires. The service took place on the verandah, which was covered in with nikau palms, ferns and white flowers. The bride wore her travelling dress of blue cloth with black silk strappings, black toque with pale pink roses; her sister, Miss Squires, was bridesmaid, and her brother Mr H. C. Squires, best man. After the service a reception was held, at which a large number of guests were entertained. The presents were very numerous and handsome. The young couple drove to Whangarei in the evening, en route for Auckland an.d Die Hot Lakes.
