Musical Examinations.

TRINITY COLLEGE PASS LISTS. The annual Trinity College (London) examination of local candidates in vocal and instrumental music was held last week, occupying four and a-balf days. The examiner was Mr Alfred Mistowski (Mus. Bae., Oxon.), whk> visited the colony for a similar purpose last year. The use of the City Council Chamber was kindly granted by His Worship file Mayor, and every suitable pro-vision was made for the accommodation of the candidates.

Before leaving for the South to-day Mr Mistowcki handed ,o the local secretary an interim report of the results of the examination. A fuller report will in due course reach the several candidates. The standard of requirements is very high, a minimum of sixty per cent*, being required for a pass and eighty per cent, for honours, besides a satisfactory performance of the selected solos. The names of the successful candidates in each division, together with the names of their respective teachers. are given below: —
