We hope that all our subscribers have read with some care the offer which has lately been made through these columns. This is not a case where any exaggeration is necessary. The book, which is offered subscribers at half a guinea, plus postage, is cheap at the 21/ which is the published price, and the amount charged outsiders. The opinions expressed on the volume by men who are acknowledged as leading colonist's, and whose reputations are not confined to restricted districts, should be an ample guarantee that no claim has been put forward for the book which is not fully justified. We would urge those who have not up to the present perused the announcements made of the offer to our readers of “Brett’s Colonists’ Guide and Cyclopaedia of Useful Knowledge,” to carefully go through that in another .part of this issue.
