JUNGLE JINKS.
Doctor Lion Gets the Best of the Joke This Week.
1. The boys in the Jungle School were very excited the other morning, because that rascal Jacko had put a lot of tintacks on Doctor Lion’s chair. “ Won’t he jump up with a yell when he sits on those sharp points!” whispered Jacko. “ Yes,” chuckled young Hare ; “it will be awful fun!”
2. Just then the Doctor walked into the room, and the boys had to hide their faces with their books, so that he should not see them laughing. “ Now. he's going to do it. Look!” sniggered Jumbo.
3. But Doctor Lion had overheard Jacko's little plot, and came prepared. When the boys saw him sit down quietly, as if nothing had happened—oh, they did feel sold! Of course, they never guessed that the magnet on Doctor Lion’s back had picked up all the tacks!
