Business continues quiet on 'change. Standard stocks maintain their value, but few transactions take place. Outside of Obinemuri companies mining stocks were neglected. South British insurance shares are wanted at 79/. and Standards at 17/3. N.Z. and River Plate shares firmed this week. May Queen shares keep changing hands at about 6d and *'»id per share. Hauraki Freeholds have also sold at 7d. The Conciliation Board is still dealing with the miners' dispute. Another parcel of ore from West Tokatea mine has yielded satisfactorily 24 tons producing bullion, worth £234 5 4. Forfeited shares in the Waihi Consols Company are to be offered to existing shareholders at one penny per share. Komata Reefs changed hands at 2/8.

Rales of Waihi shares took place this week at- £9, with further buyers at £8 15/.

Welcome Jack shares firmed a little and sales were made at Ibid and 1 Id. but they soon declined again. Ohiuemuri Syndicate and Rising Suu shares both had steady buyers at low rates during the past week; but the offers were not accepted. The Waihi Consols Company's bore is now down 470 feet.

Strong dabs of gold were seen when breaking down the general ore in the stopes on the leader in the New Whan mine, Thames.

Barrier Reef shares firmed a little this week, sales being made at 3/4.

Unioq Waihi Company's returns continue to show slight improvement. This -mqnth 1452 tons of ore yielded bullion worth £2424.

The Royal Oak Company obtained £761 2/ from one ton of ore and 194 lbs of picked stone.

The Hauraki return was £350 14/9 this month from 100 tons of ore treated.

Waitekauri Gohl Mining shares changed hands at 12/6 and 12/3. TribiHers in the Nonpareil mine, Thames, crushed 10 loads of ore for a return worth £72 10/9.

Mr Louis Woodcock, the owner of the Handsworth mine, Kuaotnnu,’has completed a erushing at his battery for the satisfactory yield of £lB2 2/.

Four-in-Hand return was again a good one this month, 85 tons yielding £514 11/.
