OBITUARY.

Great regret was felt at the death from typhoid fever on April 19th of Mr G. D. Barclay, of Gisborne. He had many friends, not only in Gisborne, but also in Napier, where he was for two years teller in the Bank of Australasia. and he will be much missed. He tool; great interest in football, was a prominent cricketer, and was a member of the Gisborne Rowing Club, so that his ‘death has caused quite a blank. The funeral took place at Wellington, and as a tribute to his memory some beautiful wreaths were sent by the football and rowing dubs of which he had been a member, as well as by the staffs of the Gisborne and Napier branch of the Bank of Australasia.
