ELWORTHY—JULIUS.

Not since the wedding of the Bishop of Melanesia and Miss Ethel Julius, now over a-little more than a year ago, has such interest been evoked as over the marriage of Miss Ella Julius, the third daughter of Bishop and Mrs Julius, anil Mr Arthur Stanley Elworthy, of Pareora, South Canterbury, which took place at the Cathedral at half-past two on Wednesday, 18th April. The altar was heaped with light sprays of white cosmea and other delicate white flowers. The choir met the bride at the western door, the service being full choral, Mr Tendall presiding at the organ and playing the Tannhauser "Wedding' March” and "the” "Wedding March” as the bridal party left the church. The bride entered with her father, who afterwards gave her away, and looked simply charming in a creamy white Duchesse satin, the long square train hanging loose from the shoulder, one side being draped with chiffon and orange blossom. The neck and sleeves were of Honiton laee, the front of the skirt being covered with an exquisite panel of the same lace, and a beautiful old Honiton lace veil thrown baek from the face completed this graceful costume. This veil was worn by her mother. She wore a diamond and pearl necklet and diamond crescent, brooch, the gifts of the bridegroom, and carried a shower bouquet. There were five bridesmaids. Miss Bertha Julius acted as train-bearer. Miss Julius. Miss A. Julius, Miss Elworthy and Miss Muriel Elworthy.
