AQUATICS.

AUCKLAND ROWING CLUB. A series of outrigger races was held by the Auckland Rowing Club on Saturday afternoon, some good races resulting. The first heat was won by A. G. Fookes (scratch), from W. Brown (13sec.), and Fort (9sec.). H. E. Brown (6see.) won the second heat, E. Madden (6sec.) being second. The third heat was won easily by Wheeler (15sec.) from Hales, Negus, and Diamond. Gooch (3sec.) won the fourth heat by a couple of lengths from Lovett, Cleal and Kerr. The winners of the heats then contested the final, which Fookes won by a length. Gooch being second, and Brown third. ST. GEORGE'S ROWING CLUB. A set of trial fours was rowed off by the St. George's Rowing Club on Saturday afternoon, for a challenge cup presented by Mr James Coates. The first heat was won by Busby's crew from Littlejohn's, with Pirie’s fhird. Atkinson's crew beat Carter's in the second heat, and Thomson's beat Armitage’s in the third. Thomson’s crew won the final heat, the names of the winners being J. Thomson (stroke), J. Richards (3). H. Saunders (2), J. O'Sullivan (1), and T. R. Carter (cox). The following are handicaps for the single sculls to be rowed off by members of St. George's Rowing Club on Saturday afternoon next for Mr E. W. G. Rathbone’s challenge cup:—J. Thomson, scratch; A. G. Busby, scratch; G. O. Waddy, ss; C. W. Pirie. 10s: E. Innes. 10s; T. Richards 10s; 11. J. M. Thomson. 15s; Blair, 15s; C. E. Stone. 15s; E. Cuthbertson. 30s; A. Gilmore. 30s: James Fort. 355; A.
