BOWLING.
(By
No Bias.)
Note.—Secretaries of Bowling Clubs throughout the colony are requested to forward notices of meetings and results of games played—in fact anything of benefit to bowlers generally — to “No Bias,” “Graphic” Office. It is to be hoped that the same class of weather will prevail for the Tournament as the bowlers have had the pleasure to enjoy during the past week. The clubs who are blessed with a good water supply have not felt the <1 rought in the least; in fact, they have benefited by being •able to give the lawns just sufficient moisture, and no more, in order to use the roller to advantage. If Jupiter Rluvius will only be liberal for about 24 hours with his tears it will have the effect of freshening the whole of the lawns into perfect condition, and also ensure a chance of a fine week for the “event of all events"—the Tournament. The following games were played on the different club greens on Saturday last:— AUCKLAND CLUB. No. 1 Rink: Schischka, Ferrin, King, A. \V. Thomson (skip), 22, v. D.
