AN OLD GAME REVIVED.

The game of patience has become quite the. craze with old and young. In former years Patience was the game chiefly played by old people who could not read much at night. The grip this game has on people is extraordinary, and regular players are to be found sitting down and playing at all odd minutes, and especially after tea in the winter months, when there is little to do before dinner. All sorts of names are given now to the different varieties. One is known as “Sir Tommy,” another is called “Miss Mil* ligan.” Then there is the “Star,”' “The Long Lane,” “The Harem,’' “The Lesser Pyramid,” and a kind which is very difficult and aggravating to do is called “The Demon,” while another which also gives a great deal of trouble is called “The Divorce Court.”
