An amusing story is told by Mr Bray, Q.C. Some time ago Mr Bray was examining a medical witness in a “running down” case. The doctor was giving details as to the injuries received when Mr Bray gravely asked: “And, sir, have you attended the plaintiff since he committed suicide?” A pause ensued, which was followed by a roar of laughter round the Court, while the confused counsel hastily busied himself in his brief.
