“ TjVltOM BRAIN TO KEYBOARD." •THK MOST STRIKING DSCOVERY OF THE PRESENT CENTURY." PIANO TECHNIQUE. It has long been recognised that executive facility depends on the FULL DEVELOPMENT of the muscles, sinews, and nerves particularly brought into play bv the instrumentalist. So thoroughly is this acknowledged that many eminent teachers, among them the "two greatest the world has known"—Depps and Leschetizsky—have always trained their pupils in technique by the use of special gymnastics for the fingers, wrists, etc. These, however, were not systematised, and it was reserved for Mr Macdonald Smith to render in his "From Brain to Keyboard” exercises a service to musicians, for which all those who know his system "call him blessed.' " These exercises go straight to the point, attacking In turn fingers, knuckles, wrists, etc., and all the exercises can be gone through in ten minutes—this ten minutes producing a result only usually obtainable, if then, by many hours of "daily grind.” For students, there is the saving of hours arid hours of exercise that, oftentimes, do not procure—or only in a very limited degree—the. necessary muscular development, but which very often bring about a deadening of the artistic perception, and evert, in many instances, nervous cramp and pianists' paralysis. An opportunity will shortly be offered to the many PIANISTS, ORGANISTS, VIOLINISTS. etc., who will doubtless wish to study this GREAT SYSTEM. MISS WILKINSON, A.R.A.M., ROME (Authorised by the Inventor), WILL VISIT AUCKLAND IN DECEMBER NEXT. For the purpose of giving Tuition in the "From Brain to Keyboard” Exercises. Miss Wilkinson has had a large and varied experience of the results of the Exercises, which she has now been teaching for nearly two years and with enormous success, in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, etc. ALL PARTICULARS will be given in the “Graphic” of next week, October 21, and full details re Class and Private Lessons, Circulars, etc.
