IN SAFETY.
It was just past midnight. “John." whispered his wife in a hushed voice. “John, wake up. there is a burglar downstairs." John jumped from his bed and hastily rushed out of the room. Mrs John goes to the door and hearing nothing calls out, “John, where are you?" “Here I am.” came a voice from above. “\v hat are you doing up there in the attic?” “Confound you. woman, didn't you say were burglars downstairs?”
