Velvet hangings and cushions which are stained with grease may be cleaned by pouring a little turpentine on the stained part and then rubbing it dry with a piece of dean flannel. If the stain is not removed at once, repeat the process. Afterwards place the articles in the air till the smell of the turpentine departs.
