ORANGE BLOSSOMS

WHITE—WHITE. Sir G. S. White, second son of Mr S. B. White, of New Plymouth, was married to Miss Evelyn White, only daughter of Mrs Clement White of the same town. The Revs. S. S. Osborne and C. H. Garland officiated. The bride was to have been given away by Mr Strauchon ( ), but having been called away to Auckland, Mrs Clement White (her mother) took his place. The bride wore a cream figured costume, finished with a very handsome hand-worked bridal veil, and she carried a lovely shower bouquet. The bridesmaids were Miss L. Goodacre and Miss Gladys Doile, the former wore a dainty pale silk, finished off with white chiffon, and carried a basket of yellow and white flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr \. Veale, and Mr G. M. White, his cousin. After the ceremony a reception was held at. the residence of the bride's parent, when the numerous wedding presents were duly admired, one being a massive black marble clock, presented by the members of the Scotch Church, to which the bride belonged. The happy couple left by the 4 p.m. train for Palmerston, where

they are to spend their honeymoon. The bride’s travelling dress was a dark brown costume with pink silk front, hat en suite.

Among those at the reception were: Mrs Clement, mourning costume; Mr and Mrs Mac Diarmid, the latter wore heliotrope muslin, blaek hat to correspond; Mrs Gilmour, cream; Mrs Bacon, pale blue; Mrs Osborne, grey costume, with satin sleeves, bonnet to match; Mi’s Barren, grey, lace fichu, bonnet with pale pink; Mr and Mrs Doile, the latter wore cream; Mrs McKenzie. black merveilleux, trimmed with eream: Mrs Corney. blue costume, bonnet en suite: Mrs Blyth, black silk; Miss Smart, white; Mrs Clarke, blaek; Mrs Morten, black; Miss Paterson, dark costume, white vest, picture hat with pale blue feathers; Miss Neil, pretty cream- with heliotrope; Mrs P. White; Mrs S. B. White, black, black and white bonnet; Mrs M. Hardy, black; Miss Wilson (aunt of bride, Dunedin) black merveilleux skirt, striped blouse, handsome white chiffon fichu; Rev. Mr and Mrs Garland; Mr and Miss Brash, the latter in a pretty fawn costume; Mr and Mrs Goodacre, grey costume; Mrs Paul, grey, and piiik chiffon trimmings, toque en suite.
