WAIHI RETURN.
£25,285 FOR THE MONTH. BIGGEST OUTPUT TO DATE. A fitting finish for the year is the return of the Waihi G.M. Co. for the past month’s operations, beating as it does by £ 1000 the former records, allhough nearly 100 tons less of ore were treated this time. During the four weeks ending December 10, during which period the mills were running 24 days, 7684 tons of quartz were treated for a return of bullion worth £25,285. The average value per ton of the ore treated was £3 5/10. Last month s record return was £24,123 from 7759 tons of ore. The output for they ear totals £ 242,871 9/8, and the grand total since 1890 is £879,435 4/5.
