NEW WHAU.
The half-yearly meeting of the shareholders in the New Whan Goldmining Company lapsed. The report stated that encouraging prospects were found in parts of the mine, but as these were not sustained operations were suspended and protection has been applied for. The balance-sheet showed receipts to have been £245 4/1 and the expenditure left a credit balance of £3B 11/10.
