THE ANNUAL SHOW OF THE AUCKLAND KENNEL CLUB.
The show, which was held on Friday and Saturday last in the Agricultural Hall, proved itself beyond cavil the best ever yet seen in Auckland in regar I to both the number and quality of the entries. Among these entries were the latest standard of dogs bred on the most approved up-to-date lines. This year the arrangements for the show were really excellent. Each class was shown in sections, with a legible finger-board to denote where the class could be seen. The dogs were also shown in roomy wire benches, so they were seen to better advantage than in the old style of benching, and there was less fear of them getting injured. Mr R. J. Parry, the popular secretary of the Club, assisted by enthusiasts in Mr F. W. Edwards, Dr. Owen Messrs G. E. Read, T. Shew ring and W. B. Hall, have worked early and late for the success of the show for months past, and their efforts were well rewarded by the ap-
precaution of the splendid collection of dogs of all classes manifested by the general public and the large number of dog fanciers who visited the Agricultural Hall on Friday and Saturday.
