Dear Bee, September 21. Then: was a surprise euchre party at the ’Sanatorium’ on Thursday last. Mrs James Taylor anil Mrs Dr. Murdoch were the leading spirits of the party, which went off with great eclat. The verandah was enclosed with tarpaulins, ami prettily decorated with Chinese lanterns anil huge ferns. Scattered invitingly about were easy ehairs and screens. There were fourteen tables in the large diningroom, and in all about seventy guests were present. The first prizes were won by Miss Buckland ami Mr Main, the second by Mrs A. Bruce (Auckland) ami Mr G. F. McCullagh. and the ‘boobies’ by Miss Willis and Mr Bridgewater. Nurses Pulham and Harris looked very spruce ami bright in their uniforms.
