ORANGE BLOSSOMS.

MR GARDINER TO MISS MAUNDER. AT the Anglican Church, Kihikihi, last week, Mr fames Gardiner, of Kihikihi, was married to Miss A. F. Maunder. The bride looked nice in cream cashmere finished with cream satin and lace, long tulle veil surmounted with orange blossoms. The bridesmaids were Miss E. Mainwaring and Miss T. Maunder. The Rev. W. Marshall, of Ohaupo, performed the ceremony, and Mr William Kay, from Parewera, was the best man. A capital luncheon was served at the Star Hotel, where a number of friends met the wedding party. There were many useful presents. MR SCOTT TO MISS HILL. The wedding of Miss Ada Hill, fourth daughter of Mr F. Hill, Wallace street, Wellington, to Mr Harry W. Scott, chemist, Stratford, third son of the late Captain John Scott, took place at the residence of the bride’s parents.

The Rev. J. Dawson performed the ceremony, and Mr Harry Brittain was the best man. The bride looked very well in rich bridal lustre softened by chiffon and finished by pearl passementerie, wreath and veil. HER travelling dress was the new blue canvas cloth with hat en suite. There were five bridesmaids, viz., her three sisters, the Misses Maud, Millie and Myrtle Hill, and her nieces, the Misses Vera James, and Olive Henderson. There were many really nice presents. MR F. D. YONGE TO MISS GRAY. The Holy Trinity Church, Otahuhu, was the scene of a very pretty though quiet wedding last Wednesday, when Miss Gray, of Otahuhu, was married to Mr Fred Duke Yonge, eldest son of the late Mr F. D. Vonge, of Auckland. The church was beautifully decorated by the bride’s girl friends, and was crowded with friendsand spectators. The Rev. Canon Gould performed the ceremony, the bride being given away by her brother, Mr John Gray. She looked charming in white silk very plainly made, with fichu of old lace, white hat with ostrich feathers, and carried a lovely bouquet. The bridesmaids were her sister, Miss Ada Gray, and a little niece, the former being tastefully attired in cream lustre, and the latter wearing a dainty cream frock, large

picture bat. Each carried bouquets of marguerite and maiden hair fern, and wore handsome gold brooches, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr Arthur YonGE acted as best man. The happy couple left for Te Aroha shortly after the ceremony, Mrs F. D. Yonge wearing a pretty travelling dress of grey tweed with wine-coloured vest, and small hat. The presents were numerous and costly, and included several cheques. MR B. C. EGLINTON TO MISS PALMER. AT the Wesleyan Chapel, Hope, Nelson, Miss Alice Palmer, daughter of Mrs Job Palmer, was married last Wednesday to Mr B. C. Eglinton, of Sandon, North Island. Quite a large crowd of friends and relatives assembled in the chapel. The bride looked very well in a rich white lustre, with lace and watered silk trimmings. Mr and Mrs Eglinton left in the afternoon fortheir new home in Ashurst. There were many beautiful presents. MR MCSKIMMING TO MISS M. HARPER. The marriage of Miss Maggie Harper, second daughter of Mr J. Harper, who has lived for many years in Wanganui, created some interest in that town last week. The happy man was Mr W. McSkimming, of Waitekauri.
