Dear Bee. August 18. On Monday, the 17th August, THE FINAL EVENING OF THE LADIES’ SAVAGE CLUB was held at Mrs W. G. Neill’s residence, Melville-street. Being the last evening of the season, it was an open night, and a great number of visitors were present. Miss Katie Cutten was in the chair, and the programme was an exceptionally good one. Two songs were given, one by Mrs Kettle, the other by Miss Sissie Graham. A very pretty duet was sung by Miss Cutten and Miss Lily Roberts. Mrs Cunninghan) Smith read an ‘ Ingoldsby Legend,’ and Miss Fanny Hodgkins recited part of ‘Nicholas Nickleby.’ This very pleasant evening was brought to a close by a very clever dialogue performed by the Misses Annie and Mariannie Cargill. As Mrs Neill was very unwell and unable to be present. Miss Ethel Neill acted as hostess, and looked very stylish in a pale pink figured silk blouse.
