Bee, August 6. THE CINDERELLA ASSEMBLY DANCE held on Tuesday night was not as great a success as these gatherings usually are. only about seventy being present, with ladies in the majority. It was, however, a very sociable affair, and was very well arranged. Miss St. Hill was much admired in white brocaae. and Miss Annie St. Hill a becoming pale blue brocade; Mrs Kettle wore a very hand-ome cream satin gown, in which she looked vejr well; Mrs Logan, handsome black silk; Miss Poppy Cctterell looked very nice in yellow silk : Mrs Carlile, very handsome deep rose pink silk gown: Miss Mason, pale lemon silk with straps of brown velvet; Miss Hatherley (Wanganui) loosed very nice in cream trimmed with yellow; Miss Nelson was admired in a very pretty white frock; Miss Watt chine flowered silk ; Miss Watkin, pretty yellow silk; Miss McLean pale bue silk (a pretty gown); Mesdames Co eman, L arlile. Cornford. Misses Cornford, Hatherley (Wanganui). Watt gwW. Ringwood. Harden. Balfour, etc.. Messrs Shaw. Barron. Rhodes. Kiely. Parker, etc., etc. On Wednesday evening Mias Tutin gave a very pleasant LITTLE DANCE at the Hospital. Miss Tutin received in black silk, and proved herself a Channing hostess. The nurses nearly all wore t heir unifonn. watch is very becoming. Nurse Edwards wore becoming pale blue cashmere : Miss L Mason, black silk : Miss Luckie black silk; Miss Mountfort, yellow silk with white ribbons: Miss li? black ; Miss Stewart, cream ; Miss Aitken, grey crepon ■ Miss Baker, grey: Miss E. Biker, white silk: Miss »l argoliou th. cream crepon. Among the gentlemen were Dr. Leahy. Captain Bake-. Messrs Mountfort. Asheroft. Fannin. W. Rudman W E. . Cn sP_ ma n-. Swtndjey. J. Parker. J. Maginnity. etc. Extras were played by Miss Baker and Messrs J. Parker, and J. Maginnity The supper table was prettily decorated, and the whole affair was quite a success. Cicely.
