Great interest is taken in Hastings and the neighbourhood over the preparation for the marriage of Miss Gertrude Williams (Frimly) to Mr. Guy Russell, which takes place in St. Matthew’s Church on Wednesday (August sth), and of which I hope to send you a full account next week. Mrs Tyerman and Mrs Wellwood are giving a juvenile fancy dress ball on the 13th August in connection with their children's dancing classes. There is also to be an Athenaeum Ball on the 20th August, so Hastings is quite lively just now. Lenore.
