JL’VKNILB HARTY last week on the occasion of her granddaughter’s sixth birthday, little Miss Ogle. The day was hopelessly wet, and many small friends did not arrive, but those who did had a glorious time. Games of all kinds were indulged in, and oceans of birthday cake and numerous other delights. The Art Gallery has had a very successful season, having been open a month with an excellent average attendance. This week sees the close, when the homes of the winners of the art union prizes will be the richer for some very tasteful pictures. Several good musical programmes are arranged for the closing week, and we shall miss this favourite resort.
