Dear Bee, June 9. On Tuesday the Misses Ulrich (Duke-street) gave a large AFTERNOON TEA as a farewell to Miss Amy Roberts, and a welcome to the Misses Maude and Daisy Fitchett, who have just returned from Paris. The tea table was tastefully decorated with heliotrope chrysanthemums, and the palms and other pot plants in the room were swathed in heliotrope silk. Mrs Ulrich wore a stylish gown of black crepon elaborately trimmed with jet and silk ; Miss Ulrich, violet velvet with collarband of cream silk: Miss E. Ulrich, also wore violet velvet; Miss Amy Roberts, brown cloth prettily trimmed with brown velvet, large beaver hat with black tips; Miss Maude Fitchett, black velvet with white muslin ruffle round the neck; Miss Daisy Fitchett, dark green skirt, moss green velvet blouse, with large collarette of green figured silk ornamented with small white buttons ; Miss Gibbon, gobelin blue figured silk blouse, black crepon skirt; Miss Cutten, green cloth prettily trimmed with white figured silk, black velvet hat with black feathers; Miss Cumine, black serge costume; Miss Williams, black serge jacket and skirt, small black chip toque; Miss M. Mrs Stephenson, who received her guests in the drawing-room, was most beautifullytgowned in black brocade, the front of the bodice being elaborately ornamented with steel trimming and black chifton; she also wore a dainty cream lace cape; Miss Stephenson, pale heliotrope merveilleux trimmed with pearl passementerie ; Miss Tui Stephenson, black silk uniquely trimmed with black chiffon and red roses; Mias Kate Stephenson, buttercup mirror silk trimmed with royal blue chiffon. During supper Mrs W. G. Neill proposed the health of Miss Roberta, wishing her a| very pleasant trip. Mr George Roberts responded in a few well chosen words for his sister. The supper table looked extremely effective with sweet peas arranged in pale green specimen vases placed on the centre piece of green crepon paper. Several small tables also arranged in the supper-room added greatly to the comfort of the guests.
