Dear Bee, July 18. I must tell you about our LITTLE DANCE on Tuesday evening, it being the second of the Cinderellas, which everybody present thoroughly enjoyed, although there was a scarcity of gentlemen. Among the married ladies I noticed Mrs Wratt, in black silk and Jet; Mrs Bargh, a pretty old gold velvet

gown ; Mrs Allard ice, black silk skirt and red evening bodice; Mrs Burmester's dress was much admired—a pale blue cr£pon with pretty lace: Mrs Sidy, figured terracotta silk ; Mrs McPhee, black silk net over black satin skirt: Mrs Roake. black and jet; Mrs Hunter, black silk: Mrs Blakiston. neat pink with bands of maroon velvet; Mrs Carroll, very striking gown of black silk and lace; Mrs F. Baddlcy, black silk velvet and pink chiffon: Miss Guy, white and pink gown: Miss — Guy, white, and sh.it sash ; Miss Brophy, blue and velvet: Miss Wratt. pretty pink gown: Miss A. Allard ice, cream : Miss R. AUardice, whits: Miss Locke. blue; Miss Hunter, white satin with bands of pink: Miss Caddigan wore a lovely gown of cream cashmere. Empire style : Miss Young, grey muslin with train; Miss McGee, pink and cream nun's veiling; Miss Dule, black and white; Miss Tansley, black sateen and blue Russian net sleeves : Miss Flo Tansley, apple green sateen with pretty lace : Miss Hett Tansley. blue sateen with spray of orchids ; Miss — Tansley, cream sateen with pretty blue ribbons; Miss E. McCalom. white. The gentleman were Messrs Tansley. McPhee, Woods. Sidy, Noake, Crowley. Fannin. Smith, Tompson, Wratt (two). Rawson, Newanham,Stubbs,Nichols, Blakiston, " Chadwick.
