DANGER TO DANCING MEN.
A NEW and insidious danger to the gay and gallant bachelor has been recently found to lurk in the giddy ballroom. A young lady up North has just sued her partner for damages in respect of a broken leg, incurred through his alleged clumsiness while performing on the light fantastic toe. The phenomena portends ominous possibilities. The youth that courts the dizzy maze To woo and clasp a pretty girl. Feels large as life and all ablaze. As wildly through the air they whirl. But if the girl to fall should chance. And maim her bones or vesture slit. He'll find he's ‘ led a pretty dance.' When courted with an ugly writ.
