I missed the wife of our popular medico, Mrs Lindsay, as she is in Napier, visiting Mrs Cornford. There is a general feeling of regret at the unexpected death of Miss Pearce, who was a well-known figure at many social gatherings and outdoor amusements. She was an only child, and much sympathy is felt for her bereaved parents.
