Dear Cousin Kate.—l saw in your paper a fortnight ago, a riddle, ‘ When is a door not a door ?’ and I think the answer is, ‘ When it is a jar.’ Hoping it will be right, I remain, your affectionate cousin, May Noslen. [Your answer is quite right, May. You seem to have been the only clever little cousin. Heie is another riddle for you. A friend of mine made it up for the Graphic : * What size is a tumble !’ Perhaps boys could guess it more easily than girls. We will see.—Cousin Kate.]
