ORANGE BLOSSOMS.

ROD—COFFEY

MR JAMES ROD, of the firm of Rod Brothers, Wellington, was married to Miss Sarah Rachel Coffey, eldest daughter of Mr Paul Coffey, at St. Mary of the Angels’ Church, Wellington. The church was full of friends and sightseers, and was prettily decorated for the occasion. The bride, who was led to the altar by her father, wore a handsome gown of cream satin, made with full sleeves and long train, and completed by the usual tulle veil caught with orange blossoms, and she wore a diamond brooch, which was her present from the bridegroom. The two bridesmaids were both sisters of the bride, and wore very pretty costumes of pale salmon pink material with bronze velvet hats, and bronze shoes, stockings, and gloves, and each wore their gifts from the bridegroom—small gold brooches. Mk H. Rod, brother of the bridegroom, and Mr H. Coffey, brother of the bride, both attended the bridegroom, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Devoy. The party afterwards drove to Mr Coffey's residence at Oriental Bay, where Mrs Coffey received a large number of guests. She wore a handsome black silk gown trimmed with lace and a small black bonnet with Howers. A number of beautiful presents were received, among them being a large painting of the Johnsonville encampment, this being a present from the employes of Rod Bros.
