Dear Bee, August 30. There were quite a number of new frocks at the DANCE IN THE BOYS* COLLEGE given by Miss Bell and Mr Joynt. Miss Bell was gowned in rich black silk, lace scarf and cap; Mrs Robinson, black silk, white panel covered with jet on the skirt, lace cap; Mrs Fell, crimson velvet and satin ; Mrs Pitt, Mrs Sclanders, handsome black and yellow gown ; Mrs J. Sharp, most becoming and elegant toilet of rich yellow silk relieved with brown velvet, a quantity of yellow chition on the low bodice; Mrs Booth, handsome gown of gold coloured broche; Mrs Macquarie, heliotrope; Mrs Bell and Mrs Pitt, both black gowns; Mrs Roger Kingdon as usual looked most, elegant in palest blue, with velvet sleeves and bands of a darker shade ; Mrs Thornton, white silk, sapphire blue velvet sleeves and band; Mrs Grace, white silk veiled with black lace ; Mrs DeCastro, white broche; Miss Levien wore quite the handsomest dress in the room, rich grey satin, the front of the skirt being almost covered with lovely jewelled trimming, yellow ruche round the hem, and on the low corsage, also on the front of the corsage a huge jewelled butterfly, a smaller one being worn on the shoulder; Miss Richmond, pink veiling, brown velvet bands ami putlvd sleeves; Miss A. Glasgow, black serge, yellow silk waistcoat, black and yellow hat; Mrs Riddiford (Wellington), tailor gown of blue striped cloth, large black hat with feathers; Mrs J. Wood, black serge skirt, silk blouse, small black hat with feathers ; Mrs Bunny. Cheviot tweed, large brown hat; Mrs DcCastro, fawn and brown; Mrs Blackett. Mrs Atkin son, Mrs J. Sharp, Mrs R. Kingdon ; Airs Fell, brown gown and bonnet, lovely feather boa; Airs Day. Mrs Morison. Mrs Hanis. Mrs Bell, Misses Jones (two), Curtis Broad, Hursthouse, B. Bit h mond. Fell.
