Among those who have been present at the Theatre Royal during the two nights THE POLLARD LILIPUTIAN OPERA COMPANY have been playing here were: Mrs Watts, in a lovely cream broche opera cloak, small cap: Mrs Sclanders, long white cloak edged with fur; Mrs Percy Adams, beautiful bronze plush cloak bordered with brown fur: Mrs A. Glasgow, very sweet pink silk blouse, black velvet zouave and black skirt.; Mrs Pitt, black silk ; Mrs Blackett, black ; Mrs J. Sharp, plush cloak : Mrs R. Kingdon. pinky gown, brown plush cloak lined with gold ; Mrs Tomlinson ; Mrs Trask, lovely black silk gown, trained ; Miss Trask, creamy broche trained, red cloak; Misses Richmond (two), cream cloaks, white silk gowns ; Miss Jones, long white cloak ; Miss Curtis, pink silk blouse, dark skirt; Miss Mackay, pretty cream cloak edged with astrachan; Miss Roberts; Miss Collins, white evening dress, pretty w’hite cloak ; Messrs Pitt, Sclanders, Richmond, Dundas, Catley, Macquarrie, Drs. Roberts and Gibbs, etc. A CONVERSAZIONE was held at the Provincial Hall last Tuesday by the two Anglican Church congregations, and proved a most successful affair. The usual music, recitations, readings, tea and coffee, cakes, etc. being duly appreciated. A FANCY DRESS IMPROMPTU. Being the half-term of Miss Broad's dancing class last Friday all who attended came in fancy dress, and seemed to enter into all the fun with great spirit, so much so that dancing was kept up until a very late hour. Some of the ladies’ costumes were exceedingly pretty. Among them were Miss Pike, Gipsy ; Miss L. Pike, Queen of Spades; Miss Moore. Turkish dress; Miss Fell. Japanese Lady ; Miss K. Fell, Boatswain’s Mate: Miss Wright, Circassian Girl: Miss G. Wright. Normandy Peasant; Miss Tomlinson, Little 80-Peep ; Miss Trent. Shepherdess ; Miss Preshaw, Esmeralda; Miss M. Preshaw.
