Ward in an extremely pretty and becoming dress of smoke blue with silver and blue passementerie trimming, hat to ma ch ; MrsC. Cook, dark tweed, black fur boa. black velvet bonnet with orange wing; Mrs R. Snow, dark brown tweed, black velvet and jet bonnet; Mrs G. Roberts, grey diagonal serge with handsome brocade front bordered with lovely brown fur, black velvet jet trimmed mantle, jet bonnet; Mrs Appleby, navy serge, lemon silk vest braided with blue, hat to correspond ; Miss Hewitt, pretty grey dress with pink on the neck, hat with feathers; Mr and Mrs Gibbs, Mrs W. D. Meares. Mrs Beamont, Mrs Common, Mrs M. Campbell, Mrs Matson. Mrs C. Matson, the Misses Wilson, Mrs Elmsfie, Mrs Millton, Mr F. Anderson, Mrs Godfrey, Mr Hodgson. Mrs Embling. THE MUSIN CO. have, as you are doubtless aware, scored a great success in Christchurch. As a whole they area great treat. The night was a most miserable one. the rain came pattering down all the lime and the ladies wen* obliged, almost without exception, to keep on their opera mantles the whole evening.
