THE PRESS ASSOCIATION OF NEW ZEALAND.
The extension of the telegraphic system all over the world, inclusive of these remote islands in which we live, has given rise to the formation of an organization of those connected with the press in this colony, for the transmission of messages, both foreign and inland, through the various routes to the newspapers of New Zealand. Yearly this body called the Press Association of New Zealand, and composed of the proprietors of the leading journals, meets for the arrangement of the business arising out of the necessity of purveying news for the public appetite. This time the place of meeting was at Napier, and the various places of the colony named below the accompanying illustration, were represented by those proprietors whose names are appended.
