The members of the Ponsonby ‘At Home ’ brought their season to a close with a plain and fancy dress ball. The Ponsonby Hall was very tastefully decorated with an abundance of ferns, evergreens, and flowers, amongst which were gracefully arranged flags. There was a large attendance of both sexes, the majority of whom appeared in fancy costume. The ladies’ committee provided a delicious ami dainty supper, and Adams’ Band supplied thesweetestof dance music. Messrs T. T. Masefield and C.
