I ADIES’ crickethasex tended to I relaml, amlatt llenoonnor, J Clonmel, eleven ladies competed with a like number of gentlemen, the gentlemen being, as usual, handicapped, and having to play left handed. It was an initial attempt, and the scores made were not large; but what does that signify if the total was sutlieicnt to give victory? It was not a very decisive victory, but in cricket a majority of one run is as good as a majority of a thousand, ami one run is all the lailies were able to surpass the total of their opponents by. The totals were : Ladies, 32 ; gentlemen, 31.
