A CATCHING BREATH.
‘ Mamma, what do folks bait their breath with ?’ ‘ A-a-a-w, I don’t know. What put such a notion into your head ?’ ‘ Is that what Sue uses so much scented candy for ?’ ‘ Child, child ! What do you mean ?’ ‘ Why, when that fellow comes here that Sue is trying to catch she says she always listens to him with baited breath.’
