BEFORE MARRIAGE.
Darling, do you love me? Kiss me, then, my sweet I Say you’ll be my bonniebiide And my bliss complete.
All the earth would be, darling. Filled with gloom and cate. If I had not you, dear. My heart and home to share.
No cares shall e’er come nigh you, I’ll guard and love you so ; I could not live without you. So do not answer no.
TWO YEARS AFTER. What, dinner not yet ready I never saw the like I Here I’ve been going steady From early morning light.
Why can’t you stop that squalling. That young one never rests ! Nor stops his endless bawling Enough to get his breath.
Where is the morning pa;>er ? It never can be found : This house beats all creation For being upside down.
I don't mean to complain, May. But think you ought to see That things go pleasanter some way I've enough to worry me.
Jimmie's hurt his linger ? And it’s not yet half-past twelve ? And the paper’s where I left it ? I pon the corner shelf ?
Well, you always find excuses ! You’ve nothing else to do : But if you were in my place, I guess you’d worry too.
