THE LABOUR DIFFICULTY IN NEW ZEALAND.
Ix the first page of the present issue we publish two illustrations depicting certain phases of the ‘ strike ’ question in Wellington City. In one Mr Collins is represented in the act of addressing the mass meeting held on the site of the reclamation on September 13th. In the other there is described a general view of the scenes presented on the road leading to the wharf after the free labourers had passed by under escoitof the police, taken from photographs by Messrs Wrigglesworth and Binns, Wellington. There is on page 10 the portraits of Mr Mills and Mr Bust, President and Secretary of the .Auckland Trades and Labour Council. We hope shortly to publish others of the most prominent officers of the Trades Inions throughout New Zealand, ami more matter illustrative of the momentous events, by which so?ietv here is at present agitated.
