THE STEAMSHIP OROTAVA.

The Pacific Steam Navigation Company, associated with the Orient Line to Australia, has contributed to that seivice two fine new sister-ships, the Orotava and the Orupa ; and the first-named ship, commanded by Captain G. N. Conian, sailed from the Port of London (Tilbury Dock) on June6th. These ships, built by the Naval Construction Company, at Barrow, arc each of 5,552 tons register, 450 ft. long, 49ft. beam, and 37ft. deep, with engines of 7,000 hoise power. Accommodation is provided for about 230 saloon passengers (first and second class), and for a large number of third class passsengers. The Orotava lias music and smoke rooms on the promenade deck, is fitted throughout with the electric light and electric bells, and is provided with every convenience.
